Jersey City, NJ's HARVEST OF
SOULS was formed in 2000 around vocalist Brian Sutor, guitarist Emil
Natchev and drummer Josh Dewald. Harvest of souls favors a radio-friendly,
post-grunge approach that is heavy and yet melodic. The bands various
influences include Alice in Chains, SoundGarden, Metallica, Black Sabbath
and Tool. However the NJ rockers do have the kind of choppy down tuned
guitar sound that is quite prevalent in alternative metal, and even though
HARVEST OF SOULS has a lot of similarities with post-grunge bands like
default and Seven Mary Three, they sound a bit heavier.
In 2003 the band released a self titled EP, featuring the song "who", and
it was that one song that made it to #1 on the New Artist Radio Top 40
chart (dec 2004).
Now preparing for their first full length record, the band is anxious to
get it done and get back to playing out.
